Culver Farm Daylilies - Introduction

A ruffled cream-peach with a wine-purple eye and edge. Ext.; Sev. to Dor.; 4 way branching, bud count 25+; Rebloom; Reg. 2009 (FOX POINT X VIOLET ANGEL) This seedling had the honour of winning the 2009 Region 4 Saxon Seedling Award out of 42 entries. When FOX POINT was produced I had felt at the time that it was from a plant point of view the best I had produced so far. EYEPOD advances this into a fancier flower and different colour and yet it still captures the great plant habits of both its parents. As a select seedling EYEPOD just stood out above the rest as such an outstanding grower. It has just about everything I want to see in a daylily. Vigour, healthy plant, bounces back from dividing easily; blooms over a long period; and as a added bonus it is an instant rebloomer. In other words as the first set of scapes are flowering it will send up another set of flowering scapes to continue the bloom cycle. I rate this daylily as one of the finest daylilies to have been introduced by Culver Farm Daylilies. Not only is it a wonderful garden plant but it is proving to be a great parent as well transferring many of its outstanding traits to its offspring. Eyepod is a full sib to Eye Pad. Easily fertile both ways.
