From the day PIRANHA showed us its first bloom we knew it was different and special and would provide a new direction to our hybridizing program. Over the years that we have grown it in our select seedling beds it has continued to impress us. Excellent vigor, healthy plant habit, and the ability to bounce back quickly from dividing are just some of the good traits this daylily exhibits. Many of these daylilies being introduced today with heavy ruffles and tentacles do not possess clear saturated colours. PIRANHA is not one of those, its colour is clear and with its yellow-green highlights this polychrome blend just shines in the garden. Fertile both ways.
