TET - 32" - M La - 5 1/2" Antique yellow with a violet etched halo above a green throat with a fringed gold edge. Ext.; Semi. to Ev.; 3-4 way branching; bud count 20+; Reg 2005; (TENNYSON X ETCHED EYES) SUNONA shows off the heavy substance flowers it produces very well in the garden. SUNOMA tends more to the evergreen type of foliage than semi-ev., and that foliage can look at bit mushy in early spring. After observing it for many years out in the registered daylily
fields it has proven to be one of our finest daylilies we have introduced. It bounces back vigorously from winter and the foliage looks healthy and strong as the season progresses. The branching and bud count have been first rate on this excellant performing daylily. The many perfectly opening flowers it produces attract your attention in the garden. Fertile both ways, pollen is fertile, pods take a bit of persistence, but it will set pods. Not recommended for areas of extreme cold like zone 2,3, or maybe even zone 4. If you do live in an area such as this and you wish to purchase SUNOMA I would recomend that you plant it somewhere where it is a bit protected or heavily muched. For us SUNOMA has survived and grown vigorously over many extremes of winter weather over the years at our farm, which is a zone 5 climatic area.
